September brings a new Alicante Frontend Meetup, and as always, it’s one you can’t miss.
Webpack, Rollup, Parcel, esbuild, Vite, Turbopack, Rspack… every few years a new bundler shows up promising to fix what the previous one got wrong. We use them every day, but we rarely stop to think about why they exist, what problem each one was built to solve, and what we’ve learned along the way.
That’s what Néstor is coming to talk about: a journey through the history of bundlers, from the first hand-concatenated scripts to Rspack, to understand how we got here and where tooling is heading.
