The Best European Coworking Spaces

In this post we want to show you some of the European coworking spaces that we love most here at ULab. If you’re a die-hard traveller working as a freelancer, this list matters. We don’t want you stuck in a Starbucks just to get something done on your laptop.

A while back we did a roundup of several international coworking spaces. This time we stay in the old continent to bring you more European coworking spaces you can visit one by one.

One of the best things about Europe is how well connected it is — you can land in any country in 2-3 hours. Ready? All passengers to the plane, final call!

European Coworking Spaces

Volumes Paris

It’s not just a coworking space — it’s also a maker space. It has a food lab, ideal for afterwork events and team building activities. If your thing is design, DIY, handmade or craft art, this is your place.

For networking it offers a wonderful terrace, perfect for sharing thoughts and project ideas. Located very close to the Botzaris metro station, line 7b.

Talent Garden Rainmaking. København K

This Danish coworking is built by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs (sounds familiar, doesn’t it?). It’s housed in a building dating back to 1888, where the Danish Royal Navy used to outfit its men for battle. They tell you that story the moment you land on their website — perfect to soak up the history.

It belongs to the Talent Garden group with over 20 campuses across Europe. It’s also the home of Startupbootcamp, the global startup accelerator.

The Lift 99. Tallinn

Denmark built a coworking space by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs, sure. But this time we head a bit further north to Estonia. In what some call the Silicon Valley of Europe, we find The Lift 99, a space built by founders for founders.

It has remarkably original spaces. Highlights include the swings in the meeting room used as chairs, plus the spot-on industrial design throughout. A standout example of cutting edge, with serious attention to networking and technology.

Juggle HUB

What we love about this Berlin coworking space is its childcare option. Sure, they also offer great facilities with well-equipped meeting rooms, a board room and a pleasant coworking area.

But the real game-changer is having set up a dedicated room where coworkers’ kids can wait while their parents finish the workday — in the best way possible and as close to them as it gets. Work-life balance is hard everywhere, but it’s easier with this novelty among European coworking spaces. Go for it!

BlogFabrick

Still in Berlin we find Blog Fabrik. A cutting-edge venue with Scandinavian-style decor, designed for creators — especially content creators.

So if you’re a blogger or aspire to be one, write this place down — it’s well worth it. They have a solid programme of focused practical workshops. The ideal spot for a networking session. It wouldn’t surprise us if they tried to book cañas blogger for the upcoming autumn-winter season.

Remix Coworking

To wrap up the list, we’re back in the old continent. In Paris again we find this super well-connected centre, full of energy and designed for entrepreneurs.

Creativity clearly flows in its rooms. It’s the ideal hub for creators, makers and artists in general. It has 5 spaces across the French capital, some more formal, others more bohemian. They’re set in historic buildings — and they even have one of the chicest screening rooms around.

Start2bee

We love this coworking for its design, versatility and equipment. Being able to rent a room with a digital whiteboard isn’t very common, is it? Doing it in a place with modern design and all the services you need for a business meeting to flow in the right direction — that’s a real privilege.

Plus, their coworking area is ideal both to focus on your ideas and to be open to helping or being helped. A clear win from Barcelona.

Wayco

And finally, but no less important, we want to introduce you to Wayco, a coworking centre from Valencia. It has two locations in the city of the Turia, each as spectacular as the other. Read on to learn more about these European coworking spaces.

The first welcomes you with industrial decor, wide areas full of natural light and large shared workspaces. The second offers more intimate spaces but opens onto a large outdoor terrace — perfect for any kind of event or to celebrate the end of a marathon day of video calls, hours at the computer, or long meetings.

This list doesn’t claim there aren’t better places — there definitely are, and we’ll keep growing the list of European coworking spaces. We just want to talk coworker to coworker, digital nomad to freelancer, and show you some of the places that have left a mark on us or with which we’ve built synergies through daily or occasional work. In short: they’re co-friends.
